Hello! Thanks for checking out my DJ site. It’s been a journey so far and I’m happy to share it with you.

The first event I ever DJ’d was back in 2012. My high school threw a Halloween themed dance while my curiosity for DJing began to emerge. A close friend and I volunteered to DJ the dance in hopes to throw our first “rave.” Before our teachers could say no, we gathered as much equipment from family friends, Guitar Center, Rock n Roll Rentals, and downloaded as many Halloween remixes we could rip off the internet. I remember having more lasers in the gym than students and that we set the fire alarm off with our smoke machine. More importantly though, I remember the joy I felt when I noticed people reacting to our tunes for the first time. We were welcomed back to DJ a few more dances before graduation in 2013, then I quickly found myself DJing events on my own.

I took a break when I went off to college. I attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization. I worked heavily in 3D software to create animated shorts, motion graphics, and learned some photography techniques. It was near the end of my sophomore year when I started itching to DJ again. I was apart of a couple organizations that needed a DJ to host a few events. Shortly after, I was back in business.

I owe a lot of gratitude to an older cousin of mine. When I graduated high school, she gifted me my first dance floor strobe light and told me to keep on DJing. In 2016, when word got to her that I was back at it, she reached out and asked me to DJ her wedding. She took a huge chance on me as a novice DJ, but I showed up and made it a memorable night. Through word of mouth, people started reaching out to me for future weddings and I ran with it.

Music has always been a priority in my life. I initially learned through singing in choirs, taking piano lessons, and picking up the guitar. Simultaneous to my DJ journey, I've continued to make music. At the end of my Visualization Degree in 2017, I made a critical decision to move home and enroll in Berklee's Online School of Music to further my knowledge of music production.

While continuing more studies, I was hired to contract for a DJ company. It was through this experience that challenged me to evolve from a novice to a professional. I was taking on multiple weddings a month through both the DJ company and personal clients, sometimes DJing back to back weddings in one weekend. I learned how to quickly prepare, stay organized, and mitigate worst case scenario risks. I also surrounded myself with other opportunities to immerse myself in the music industry. I interned as an audio engineer for a commercial studio and worked as a stagehand for concerts touring through Austin, TX.

In 2020, I completed my academic studies with Berklee’s Online School of Music. I can efficiently compose, record, mix, & master music in Ableton Live and Avid Pro Tools. I also gained knowledge in project management, marketing, and publishing that has helped build confidence for my business pursuits.

Since completing my academic journey, I've jumpstarted my career in music & audio. I currently work as an Audio Engineer / Sound Designer for a company called Part Time Evil. We work on developing VR and mobile applications for our clients. In my downtime, I've been able to grow as a music producer in hopes to release some music in the near future. Until then, I'm constantly progressing my DJ skills through weddings, clubs, parties, and special events. Let me know if you need a DJ!
